About Me

Scott Martin Hello , I worked for Dowlen Construction painting for over 25 years and as a trim carpenter for around 5 years. I studied mechanical engineering and business at Chattanooga State. I enjoy photography, hiking and camping with my wife and wood working. I am married and we live in the city of Red Bank even though our mailing address is Hixson. I have attended Oakwood Baptist Church in Chattanooga since 2004 with my wife. We were married there in 2006.

I am painting my room. Does red & bubblegum/hot pink go together?

I wanted to paint 3 of my bedroom walls pink & then the main wall red but im not sure if this will go? also i thought of 3 pink walls and one black wall but im scared the black wall will make my room look very dark. help please!

" I have been a painter for 25 years and I would never paint a wall black. As far as red and pink that just makes me a little sick but it is you room and you can always repaint. Go to a paint store and pick the colors you think you want to use. Ask someone that works there what they think. Pink always looks brighter than the sample so be careful."

This question can not really be addressed without knowing the shade she is thinking about. There are a lot of gross pink shades. You have to be very careful when picking out shades of paint. What looks good on the paint chip may look awfuller on the walls. My advise is to ask a person at the paint store if the have a decorator on staff to help you.
